Katya leaned out the window of the owlery. She really didn't want the school year to restart. She wanted to stay on summer break. Her mind never came back to school. It was out somewhere doing who knew what. It wasn't that she didn't like school. Normally she did have fun at Hogwarts, well as much fun as she could have. She normally wasn't one for talking to people. She mainly kept to herself. She didn't trust people easily and she was too busy to keep up with relationships any way. She knew she had one dream and one dream only and that she was going to work her ass off for it.
She had nothing to do for the day. It was the weekend and most teachers hadn't cared enough to give the students homework. It was nice but it also left her restless at the same time. She found that she never had much to do at Hogwarts. There wasn't much to do outside of school and studying. What was she going to study anyway? Nothing. That was the problem because she hadn't gotten any homework. Maybe she should have talked to some people instead. Then she would have someone to talk to.

Kaleb walked up the long row of stairs towards the owlery. He promise his father that he would mail when he got settled. And not wanting to upset his father, he did what he wished. He was mad enough with him as it is for he was placed in Ravenclaw instead of Slytherin. And he was in sixth year, so Kaleb thought he grudge was a little aggrevating. Both his older sisters and brother were in Slytherin, holding the family tradition. He sometimes wondered if he even was related to them.
Taking a breath before he went in, and walked through the wooden door. September was getting a bit chillier, which Kaleb loved. He was much more of a winter person. Throwing down his hood off of his cloak he looked up with his blue eyes. Shocked someone else was here he hesitated. At first he didn't know who it wa but as he got closer he realized one of his classmates. She was in a different house but same year. "Uh, hello." He said as he called down his dark brown owl. With a small smile he tried to make light conversation. [/blockquote]

Katya jumped when Kaleb greated her. She hadn't been facing him and she didn't expect to be found by anyone. she thought that she was going to be alone up here for most of the time. She was however sadly mistaken. She allowed her heart to return to normal before she turned to face him hoping that would prepare her better for the addition of this new person in the tower with her.
"Hello," she said a little quietly. She wished she had more confidence around people she didn't know. She normally had enough, or at least in her mind but when she was caught of guard, Katya tended to stay to herself and to become a quiet shy little girl. She didn't like being the shy girl but it seemed that when she was not onstage she was either shy or cold. Well at least she wasn't cold. It wasn't good for meeting new people. Not that she needed the extra added pressure of keeping up a relationship of any kind.
"Sending a letter?" she half asked half stated. It was stupid. She should have been able to come up with something better then that. She should have been able to sound like she knew words and how to converse but she didn't.
